Bay Area’s Developments & Real Estate

New Housing Project Set to Transform North San Jose
A new housing project by SummerHill Homes is set to break ground this July at 210 Baypointe Parkway in North San Jose.
The development will include 42 modern townhomes along with 292 apartment units, designed with walkways and a protected bike lane to encourage a connected community feel.
Located near the Baypointe VTA light rail station, the project supports convenient transit access for future residents.
This is part of San Jose’s broader push to meet state housing goals, with thousands of new homes expected in this rapidly growing area.

New Housing Development Proposed in the Mission District
A new 12-unit residential building has been proposed for 668 Guerrero Street in San Francisco’s Mission District, offering a stylish mix of for-ownership homes in a prime location.
The development will feature one, two, and three-bedroom units, plus a garage and bike parking to support an urban lifestyle.
Designed by RG Architecture, the building will showcase a modern exterior with wood-accented balconies, concrete finishes, and metal roofing.
Just steps from Dolores Park and Valencia Street, the project brings fresh housing options to one of the city’s most walkable and vibrant neighborhoods.
Bay Area Home Sales Dip in April as Median Price Slips Slightly

Bay Area home sales slowed in April 2025, dipping 1.4 percent compared to last year, while median prices dropped 1.7 percent, the only major region in California to see a year-over-year price decline.
Rising inventory and cautious buyers are reshaping the local market, with many counties reporting lower prices and homes taking a bit longer to sell.
Despite record-high prices across California, economic uncertainty and high mortgage rates are cooling buyer enthusiasm in the Bay Area.
The good news for buyers is that more homes are hitting the market, which could lead to better deals this spring.
Bay Area News: SF Launches Major Reforms to Streamline Permitting Process
San Francisco is making it much easier for small business owners and homeowners to get things done, thanks to a big overhaul of the city’s permitting process.
Say goodbye to fees for sidewalk tables, permits for putting your business name in the window, and the hassle of in-person visits for little things like restaurant candles.
A new online portal is on the way, along with real-time permit tracking and better customer service across all departments.
Even more upgrades are coming soon, all designed to cut red tape and help San Franciscans bring their ideas to life faster.
