Jagalchi Korean supermarket opening delayed to March

Jagalchi Korean Supermarket Opening at Serramonte Mall Delayed

The highly-anticipated Jagalchi Korean supermarket at Serramonte Mall in Daly City has postponed its grand opening from February to March due to construction delays. This unique 75,000-square-foot space will feature a grocery store and dining options, including POGU, led by Michelin-starred chef Tony Yoo, known for his innovative cuisine at Seoul's Dooreyoo.

Jagalchi will replace the former JCPenney location, which has been vacant since 2019, breathing new life into the east side of Serramonte Mall. The supermarket plans to combine authentic Korean ingredients with a modern culinary experience, aiming to attract both locals and visitors. It will join nearby Korean grocery options like H Mart and Kukje, making the area a hub for Korean food lovers.

While no exact opening date has been set, Jagalchi promises to be a landmark for Korean cuisine lovers.
