Oakland Planning Commission Approves Redevelopment of 3400 Ettie Street

The Oakland Planning Commission has approved the redevelopment of 3400 Ettie Street, transforming the AAA facility into a 15,294 sq. ft. commercial hub.
The project involves merging 12 lots, demolishing four buildings, and adding over 60 new trees.
Construction is expected to take 8 to 12 months, with the location benefiting from easy access to freeways and the Bay Bridge.
San Mateo County Advances Affordable Housing Plans
San Mateo County has approved a plan to build 2,833 new housing units by 2031 in unincorporated areas.
The plan includes reducing rezoning parcels from 126 to 35 and increasing density allowances to 120 units per acre in specific areas.
These updates are necessary to avoid a 964-unit shortfall in regional housing obligations. The rezoning process must be completed by the end of the year.
