New Developments & Real Estate

Major Office-to-Residential Conversion Planned for San Jose’s CityView Plaza

San Jose’s CityView Plaza is set for a major transformation as Jay Paul Company shifts from office to residential development.

The project will convert four office buildings into 320 residential units, alongside a new 27-story high-rise with 360 additional units and 35,000 square feet of retail space

This marks one of the largest office-to-residential conversions in the U.S., reflecting changing market demands post-pandemic.

New Affordable Housing Development Planned for 678 Concar Drive in San Mateo

Brookfield Properties is redeveloping 678 Concar Drive in San Mateo, shifting from a commercial-heavy plan to a mixed-use project with 223 affordable housing units

The 14.5-acre site will retain only Trader Joe’s and 7-Eleven, while adding 869 total residential units and reconstructed commercial spaces.

With 1,022 parking spaces and proximity to Hayward Park Caltrain Station, the project improves accessibility and expands housing availability.
